The Dancer Class (v0.1)

Hey all, today I’m submitting the first version of the Dancer! The Dancer is a non-magic, Dexterity/Charisma-based class created to complement the officially published classes of D&D 5e. I’ll need a lot of feedback before the final version; hope I can count on you.

Elegant and lethal, the dancer is a martial class for Dungeons and Dragons 5e, ideal for players who wish to captivate crowds with grace or defeat their enemies with style.

Class Features: 1d8 hit die, no armor, a few weapon proficiencies, sewing tools (gotta make your shoes last, I guess), and four skills.

Dance Moves: The keystone ability of the Dancer. Take your body to the extreme and move through the battlefield while attacking, grasping, and climbing onto enemies while generating fatigue.

Unarmored Defense: Always on the move, defend yourself with creative poses. A variation of Unarmored Defense.

Battle Rhythm: When you flow with the enemies, your actions are easier to execute.

Dance Performances: Do your routines for large crowds or for your party. Mesmerize them to get benefits.

Dance Style - Archetype: Choose from three options.

Recognizing Talent: A ribbon ability to show how trained you are.

Continuous Training: Sometimes you forget old moves before learning new ones.

ASI’s: Same as other classes.

Improved Dance Moves: When you are that good, you make two of them in a turn.

Coordination and Posture: Dancers don’t fall that easily.

Evasion: Same as Rogue and Monk.

Opening Pose: Always eager to try a new one. Start your turns sooner.

Invigorating Breaks: Remove fatigue in short rests.

The Stage Star: The greatest dancer of their age wouldn’t fall behind.

Victory to the Elegant: Inspire allies as you defeat enemies.

Whole of Body: Become really resilient.

Signature Movement: Your most practiced moves don’t demand as much to execute.

Soulful Expression: Even more Dance Moves!

Dance Styles:

Flame Dancer: You have specialized in an ancient and traditional style of dance where torches are used. Burn your enemies and honor your ancestors with powerful flames.

Battle Dancer: Beyond mere refinement of your dance skills, you have dedicated yourself to an extensive journey of martial training, skillfully integrating both disciplines to ascend as an indomitable force on the battlefield.

Sky Dancer: Practicing a long-forgotten style of dance, Sky Dancers become as light as a feather as they perform their dance steps. Carrying with them the beauty and grace of clear skies and the powerful fury of storms.
